RHS Garden Harlow Carr
by Katherine Musgrove
Here at Harlow Carr Gardens we are having very mixed weather days some hot some cold– and there is always this feeling of Autumn just being round the corner. Still it’s all very bountiful and the kitchen garden is bursting with produce and there are apples a plenty if the blackbirds don’t get them first.
The new sun border is looking very colourful with its annual meadow mix, we missed the planting slot for this this year; but broadcast a selection of annual seeds and the colourful mix of annuals has more than made up for this.
Elsewhere the streamside is also looking glorious and the new streamside planting looks very natural now and has settled in well.
We are in the midst of developing a sub Tropicana garden too, we are very pleased with this it is gives another dimension to the garden and it's all very exciting and keeps the visitors coming back for more. So as you can see it’s all systems go here as ever.
And do look out for the Sitting Spiritually Garden Swing Seats we have here, you'll want to rest awhile on one of them!
The garden is open 9.30am – 5pm daily
