Well what a year it’s been! Lockdown life has been tough for many people, but it’s made us appreciate the simple things in life so much more, from a hug with family to time spent in the garden together.

We've often said that spending time outdoors at one with nature can help relieve stress and anxiety, improve your mood, and boost feelings of happiness and wellbeing. We’ve found there is something about a good old fashioned rope swing, or tree swing as they are sometimes called, that brings out the child in all of us.  Who could resist the sight of one hanging in a tree? We defy anyone not to want to just rush up to it, get on & have a good old swing, invoking all sorts of childhood memories.  Another really big plus point is that they get everyone away from tapping on their screens and being cooped up inside.

The timber for our tree swings is hand-selected by us from our local sawmill to make sure it is of the finest quality. Our swings all come with synthetic hemp ropes and are spliced by hand for us by a local man who trained with the famous Bridport Gundry Rope Makers. The  ropes come ready with our no knots fixing kit to make hanging the swing extremely simple, all with marine grade stainless steel fittings which are suitable for their life outside. The rope is extremely durable and won’t rot like natural hemp rope might. It is soft to touch, and looks and feels exactly like natural hemp, with added durability and they won’t damage the tree bough in any way.
