Your Perfect Pergola

We introduced our Pergolas a few years ago as we were continually being asked by customers for a Sitting Spiritually Pergola because they felt there wasn’t anything available on the market that matched the quality of our swing seats.

We therefore set about designing a Sitting Spiritually Pergola which takes its inspiration from The Arts & Crafts Movement, and it has since become a best seller for us, and can be used to hang a 2,3 or 4 seater swing seat.

Each Sitting Spiritually Pergola is hand crafted, to order, from scratch, by expert joiners in our workshops using only FSC certified Oak or Larch.  They are designed to look sturdy & robust, and we use extra large timbers which add strength and durability.

The Pergola is delivered as a kit (see image below) and every one is pre-built in our workshop to ensure the bespoke timbers slot neatly into the joints when delivered for onsite assembly.

When they are at the pre-build stage in the Workshop, the customer is provided with the dimensions of their Pergola so that the chosen spot in their garden can be prepared in advance of delivery.  Our pergolas can be secured into the ground with concrete or fixed to a suitable solid surface.

On completion of the pergola, we provide easy to follow (so we are told!) assembly instructions and a video.  The complete build can be achieved by a competent person in 3-4 hours and all customers have reported back how simple the assembly was.

A big plus with Pergolas is that with a little help from nature they can provide the most beautiful, natural shade canopies, as can be seen below with the pergola in the Sitting Spiritually Garden, which has a highly scented Rosa Kiftsgate scrambling all over it, the perfect place to sit on a Summer afternoon.
